Our winter tours 2009/10
The landscape in the north has its own impressive beauty. A majestic season with a pleasant dry coldness and a well relaxing stillness.
You can watch the Northern Lights, a natural phenomenon you´ll never forget.
We cover the winter tours by snow-shoes or scandinavian ski. Most of our luggage we carry in pulka-sleds, sometimes the sleds will be pulled by our huskies.
The zivilisation leaves behind us, we follow the rivers into the white loneliness.
Our first tour, “With snow-shoes across the land of Northern Lights” starts in the samish village Kvikkjokk and leads us to one of the biggest wilderness areas of Scandinavia.
10 days of unforgetable experiences lie before us, with beautiful winter landscapes and snow mountains. It´s a tour that comes close to an expedition.
Another tour, “Call of white wilderness” starts in Ammarnäs. Here we use marked pathes for our round tour over frozen lakes and trough deep primeval woods. We spend 10 days in this white wild.
Some shorter tours are situated before our front-door, the 5-days-trekking with our huskies, where we can also visit Europe´s biggest and most famous rapids of Storforsen. The dogs help us to carry our luggage and so everyone will enjoy the wonderfull nature. Wild animals, perhaps elks and reindeers, cross our ways and we find a mysterious winter world, you´ve never seen before.
After meeting at the airport all tours start and end in Mjövattnet.
